Some things are not created naturally and that is when they are created by humans. Animation, the art of manipulating hand-drawn or computer-generated figures to make them look like moving images, is one of them. This art has undergone several changes since the time of its inception. Now, it has become a full-fledged industry that is coming up with new forms of animation.

The early history of animation can be associated with the time when hand drawings were made in sequence to show movement. It then changed to stick figures to paper made figures and then finally to computer-generated graphics that we see today. But the animation industry saw the biggest revolution with the entry of Disney. It was in 1923 when Disney Studios started making animations. Since then it produced a number of animated movies and cartoon shows. It marked the beginning of what we call"The Golden Era of Animation".
